As a member of the Customer Experience Organisation you will be collaborating with product owners, user researchers, copywriters, designers, and developers to drive the product vision forward in a company that’s passionate about letting people express themselves through the things they wear, use and carry. At Spread Group we take customers extremely seriously and we are investing in training and recruitment to bring a high caliber designer with focus across our Design team and Product. Lastly, our Executive team are the biggest advocates of customer first and you will be empowered to own the user experience and visual outcome. Yes, really. Just make sure it’s customer-focused.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participating in the creation of a design vision, that aligns user and business needs
  • Participating in product strategy and user interviews
  • Prototyping from lo-fi sketching to hi-fi mock ups, ready made for developers
  • Specifying the information architecture for an effective user experience
  • Documenting user interface and interactions requirements for engineering

Your Profile

  • A degree in Design, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field or equivalent work experience (we know that Digital Product Designers (UX/IX) have all kinds of interesting backgrounds)
  • 3+ years working as an HCI designer or UX/IX designer in a software product and/or web development environment required (nice to have: experience in e-commerce)
  • You have experience in taking an idea from early concept into implementation in an agile environment
  • You can demonstrate, through your portfolio and experience an ability to work from sketches to higher fidelity mock ups
  • Proven ability to create user interfaces for customer internet products
  • Excellent computer skills, including design tools (Adobe software, Axure)
  • Experience in working closely with engineers, product owners, and user researchers
  • Delight the customer: you have a laser like focus on the customer perspective
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English

Nice to Have

  • 1+ year agency experience is a plus
  • Having participated in a collaborative design process: e.g. photos of workshops, sketches on brown paper, anything that shows you can think visually
  • Some experience working with user research (ethnography, contextual interviews, setting up user test goals)
  • Knowledge in a few frontend programming (e.g. HTML or CSS or JavaScript)

We value diversity at Spread Group. We are proud of and continue to encourage the increasing diversity of our company culture and community. Your skills, talents, and experience are our focus no matter your age, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital or disability status.

We Offer

  • Professional work with friendly teams within flat hierarchies
  • Feel good! Sun terrace, free fruit & soft-drinks, table tennis tournaments and – of course – lots of T-shirts
  • Come as you are – there is no dress code

About Spreadshirt

Spreadshirt is the self-expression global e-commerce company. It empowers people to express themselves through creating, discovering, and selling clothing and accessories with messages they want the world to hear.

Companies like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube enable self-expression in the digital world but people don’t have the same opportunities in the real world where the need still exists.

Spreadshirt’s three approaches – create your own, marketplace and shops – provide limitless opportunity for on-person self-expression.

Founded in 2002, Spreadshirt is available in 12 languages, operates five global production sites and ships to over 170 countries. In 2019, it hit global revenue of $146 million, printed more than 6.4 million items, and had over 110,000 selling partners.

SPOD (Spreadshirt Print-On-Demand) is also part of the Spreadshirt family and offers fast, top-quality print-on-demand (POD) drop shipping for third-party points-of-sale.
