We have therefore created a new position and are looking for you as an Engineering Manager with experience in building, managing and motivating high-performing cross-functional development teams. You will be accountable for the technical delivery of all internal software components and the efficient implementation of business requirement solutions. This team will transform the non-platform software and service portfolio into an efficient, integrated Enterprise Architecture that provides the basis for and speeds-up group-internal automation initiatives securing the group's IT compliance. In this position you will report directly to our CTO and will be responsible for a team of 10 to 15 employees.

Your tasks

  • You will be part of the IT Leadership Team and will take over the disciplinary leadership of our Tech Employees and be responsible for their personal development
  • You will shape our development agenda and manage the engineers within their department in pertinent teams by keeping up the flexibility to form ad-hoc teams for special initiatives
  • You will steer and enhance communication and collaboration between DEV teams within and across all departments, the Product Owners and the stakeholders
  • You will ensure an efficient implementation of the department’s prioritized technical deliverables
  • You will identify opportunities and risks for delivering platform services and applications, including opportunities for technical innovation, assessment of obstacles and technical hurdles to foster business success
  • You will identify technology trends and evaluate their adoptability within Spreadshirt

Your profile

  • You have gained several years of management experience, and ideally, you already gained leadership experience within an international e-commerce company
  • You have excellent communication skills, solution orientation and sense of responsibility as well as a strong sense of initiative
  • You have a good understanding of enterprise architecture integration, good understanding of data analytics, understanding of IT security and the willingness to drive IT compliance forward
  • You feel comfortable in an international company and speak English fluently, German is a plus
